Christmas

We flew to California for Christmas, and it was Olivia's first time in her own seat on the plane. She was awesome. Ellie was a nightmare. We flew out with my sister, Allison, and it took all three of us to try and maintain some peace on the 1 hour 45 minute flight.

On Christmas Eve we went to see Santa. Our experience wasn't much more successful than our previous attempt.

We participated in the Butler family Christmas Eve tradition of opening one present - Christmas PJs!

Another Butler family tradition - the Christmas morning picture at the top of the stairs!

And then there was Christmas! It was a pretty big hit. We ended up opening presents all throughout the day, because we had to stop and play with everything once it was unwrapped.

We took our family Christmas picture. My brother Kevin actually bought the girls these dresses. They are so beautiful.

The Christmas Season

So I'm posting about December... in March. Oh well. We've had some computer problems, and I just couldn't not document our Christmas season!

Olivia made her first gingerbread house. She was so excited and so adorable! We let Ellie eat a little of it.

The Christmas tree was a huge hit. There was always a little girl somewhere near admiring the ornaments.

We had an unsuccessful/traumatic experience meeting Santa Claus at our Ward Christmas Party.

We bundled up and went on a VERY cold night to see the lights at Temple Square. Although the night ended with two temper tantrums and lots of screaming, we still had fun.

Since we were going out of town for Christmas, we did some early present opening with the Boulton side of the family.
